LECADE Falls Victim To Dark Vices In New Track “Liver”

LECADE delivers a hard-hitting take on heartbreak and the self-destruction it can leave in its wake with his new track “Liver,” out today via Big Machine Records. Backed by acoustic and electric guitar, piano and raw vocals, the song is a gritty portrayal of lost love, where the only thing more damaged than the heart is the liver trying to forget. Caught in an intense downward spiral following a breakup, the narrator finds themselves on a continuous bender as they attempt to drink them out of their system. Written by Sara Bares, Ryan Kohn and Carson Wallace, the track balances recklessness with reflection, pairing sharp lyrics with catchy production. With “Liver,” the Mississippi-raised artist continues to carve out his lane in Country and resonate with fans for his vulnerability and raw honesty.

“I knew that I needed to cut ‘Liver’ from the first time I heard it back in 2024,” shares LECADE. “The track really connected with me, and I’m super happy with how the final product came out and how the song represents me as an artist. I’m really hopeful that the fans will feel the same way!”

“Liver” follows the releases of two other tracks this year: “Love Me Anyway” and “Hope It Kills Me (ft. Sterling Elza).” With more than 3M monthly listeners and 100M streams globally to date, LECADE is just getting started. This summer, he’ll perform at The Camp At Lake Wappapello (7/19), the Garrett County Agricultural Fair (7/29), Farm Jam Music Festival (8/31), and more.
