Nashville’s MORGXN to Release New EP HEARTLAND: PART I on July 4

A Personal and Political Reimagining of What It Means to Be American

Alt-pop artist and Nashville native MORGXN is set to release his highly personal new EP, HEARTLAND: PART I, this Friday, July 4, 2025. Blending folk roots with electronic textures, MORGXN calls the five-track collection a “folktronic soundscape” inspired by life on the rural Tennessee farm he shares with his husband.

The EP reflects themes of love, resilience, and belonging—especially for those often left out of traditional American narratives. Releasing it on Independence Day is intentional. “Being American means telling your story, especially when you’ve been told to stay quiet,” MORGXN says.

Earlier this year, MORGXN made headlines with a grassroots Pride event he and his husband hosted after their town’s official celebration was canceled. The same spirit of community and resistance runs through HEARTLAND: PART I, which invites listeners to reconsider identity, inclusion, and what it means to call a place home.

In addition to his music, MORGXN recently co-chaired Spirits of Summer, a fundraiser for the Nashville Symphony, and continues to champion local arts and LGBTQ+ visibility.

Best known for his breakout hit “Home” featuring Walk the Moon, MORGXN has performed at major festivals and appeared on national shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

HEARTLAND: PART I will be available on all major streaming platforms July 4. For updates, visit morgxn.com and follow MORGXN on social media.
