Bonnaroo Farm Guide: Everything You Need to Know About Great Stage Park in Manchester, TN
Bonnaroo isn’t just a music festival — it’s a temporary city. Each June, roughly 80,000 people descend on a 700-acre former soybean farm in Manchester, Tennessee, transforming it into one of the most vibrant and self-contained communities in the country. If you’ve never been, understanding the lay of the land before you arrive makes all the difference.

The festival grounds are organized into distinct zones. Centeroo is the beating heart — the fenced-off area where all the stages, vendors, art installations, and activities live. To get there from your campsite, you’ll walk anywhere from five minutes to 30 depending on where you’ve pitched your tent. The main camping areas — Centeroo Camping, Radiate Camping, and various car camping lots — surround Centeroo in a ring, with foot traffic flowing in all day and night.
The stages themselves vary wildly in size and vibe. The What Stage is the massive main stage where headliners perform. The Which Stage is a strong runner-up and often hosts artists who could easily top a smaller festival bill. This Tent is a large enclosed stage ideal for electronic and hip-hop acts. And the Where Stage is the legendary late-night dance tent that has launched countless legendary DJ sets over the decades.
Practically speaking: bring a wagon or cart for hauling gear, pack sunscreen and rain gear (Tennessee weather is unpredictable in June), and download the Bonnaroo app before you lose signal. Potable water stations are scattered throughout the grounds, and free water is available at the Centeroo entry points. Food and beverage vendors are extensive, with everything from barbecue to vegan bowls to fresh-squeezed lemonade.
Manchester is a small town — arrive with everything you need. The nearest large grocery stores are in Shelbyville or Murfreesboro, roughly 30–45 minutes away.
