New Titans Stadium Update Massive Size Upgrades

Here’s your latest update on the brand new Tennessee Titans stadium and there is a lot to unpack.

If you’ve driven by recently, you’ve probably already noticed just how massive the new stadium is compared to the old one. This $2.2 billion project officially broke ground on February 29, 2024 and is expected to be completed by February 2027. After that, a series of opening events are planned from May through August 2027.

The new stadium is bringing major upgrades to the fan experience. Inside, the improvements are significant. The old stadium had just four escalators, while the new one will have 44. Elevators increase from six to 27, along with fully frictionless concessions designed to speed up service.

Fans will also appreciate double the number of restrooms and a much larger team store. The main store is expanding from 4,000 square feet to 11,000 square feet, plus three additional satellite locations throughout the stadium.

Every level will offer 360-degree views, and the entire venue is being built with high-end finishes, not just premium areas like suites. There are also unique design elements honoring Tennessee high school football as well as boys and girls flag football programs.

For players, the upgrades are just as impressive. Football facilities will be 50 percent larger, and the locker room is designed to comfortably accommodate the full team.

One of the biggest construction highlights is the massive roof, measuring approximately 660 feet wide and supported by a steel cable system. Installation is expected later this year.

And for those wondering about the old stadium, it will not be imploded. Instead, it will be carefully dismantled using cranes and heavy equipment.

Stay tuned for more updates, including renderings and a full tour coming soon.
