The show will take place at the historic Grand Ole Opry on Sunday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. CT, and tickets can be purchased here. A portion of every Grand Ole Opry show ticket sold goes directly toward St. Jude and the fight against childhood disease.
The country music community, including the Grand Ole Opry, has played an integral part in raising funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Since 1962, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate of childhood cancer from 20% to more than 80%, and it won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. Programs and initiatives such as St. Jude #ThisShirtSavesLives campaign, Country Cares Seminar, radiothons and more have all contributed to making sure no parent has to pay for treatment or housing.
Music Gives to St. Jude Kids® is one of the most successful music fundraising programs in the United States with more than 350 radio and music partners. Cancer is a multi-trillion-dollar, multi-year problem, and the country music industry helps to raise more than 70 million dollars annually for St. Jude to help children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
