The Goddard School is coming to Nashville in 2022

The Goddard School®, a nationally acclaimed early childhood education franchise, is breaking ground in Nashville, TN, to bring the play-based learning experience to area families by summer of 2022. To celebrate the new Goddard School coming to the Nashville suburb, co-owners Cyndi Murphy, Leisa Byars and Del McSpadden were joined by members of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce at the site of the new school on Monday, Aug. 23.

Located at 1720 Gateway Boulevard, this new 13,781-square-foot early childhood education center will have an indoor gym, two outdoor playgrounds with state-of-the-art equipment, and a faculty conference room and faculty resource room. The 13 planned classrooms will have enough space to provide care for and educate about 200 children ages six weeks to five years old. Once open, The Goddard School of Nashville will be the sixth Goddard School to open in the Nashville area and will join more than 10 locations currently open in Tennessee.

Cyndi Murphy partnered with experienced Goddard School franchisees Leisa Byars and her husband, Del McSpadden – who co-own Goddard Schools in Hendersonville and Gallatin – to bring The Goddard School to Nashville.

For more than 30 years, The Goddard School has provided care for educated children using a play-based approach based off of the most current, academically endorsed methods in early childhood education to ensure that children explore and discover their interests in a safe, nurturing environment. Starting in the fall of 2021, more than 560 Goddard Schools in 38 states will offer families a new, targeted curriculum built around great works of children’s literature focusing on social-emotional development.
