Rising singer-songwriter, QUEEVA, is preparing to release her new single, “How Do You Know” on Feb. 15 with pre-order currently available through all streaming platforms and digital retailers.
The song off her forthcoming full-length album was produced by platinum-selling singer-songwriter, and mentor, Jamie O’Neal, who discovered the young talent in a singing competition when she was only seven years old. The track, which QUEEVA co-wrote alongside hit-songwriter duo, O’Neal and Shaye Smith (who together penned O’Neal’s hits “There Is No Arizona” and “Somebody’s Hero,” as well as Martina McBride’s “How Far”), captures the feeling of falling in love for the first time. As the young songstress conveys the story in her soon-to-be-released video, QUEEVA thought to put a different spin on the typical “love interest,” and instead center it on pet rescue and animal adoption, a cause that as an animal lover, is near and dear to her heart. Country Radio Seminar (CRS) attendees will have the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the video, which was filmed, across Nashville featuring local pet retail shops, Happy ReTales and Preppy Pets.
“’How Do You Know’ is a song that talks about young love, and all the questions people have when they are involved in it. I wanted to write this song to let people know that even if someone is young, they can be in love, even when it can be hard to explain,” QUEEVA added.
QUEEVA is scheduled to perform during Country Radio Seminar 50 Feb. 13-15 at the Omni Nashville Hotel, in Jamie O’Neal’s “The Breakout Room,” held in Music Row #3, where she will be joined by O’Neal and other emerging artists who will all showcase their new music. QUEEVA has partnered with Critter Cavalry, a local organization focused on rescuing homeless animals from middle Tennessee, and together, they will introduce a Dog of the Day from the rescue in hopes of finding their furry friends in need a forever home. Critter Cavalry will have representatives on hand with information on all available pets and in an effort to further educate guests on the adoption/rescue process as well as their organization.
QUEEVA already has a list of accomplishments longer than many artists double her age. The 15-year-old powerhouse and high School freshman was recently voted one of Nickelodeon’s Fresh Faces and has garnered over one million streams on Spotify and YouTube. Additionally, her current single “Stand Out,” was recently added to Spotify’s Wild Country playlist with the corresponding video added on CMT.COM.
Born in Chicago, IL, QUEEVA was raised with five siblings in a creative Irish clan speaking both Gaelic and English and dividing her time between the US and Ireland. In fact, her name, sometimes spelled Caoimhe, means, “gentle,” “beautiful” or “precious” in that language. Early on, QUEEVA gravitated to Country music’s greatest storyteller-artists who were skilled in illumining their everyday experiences in a song. She then went on to compete in talent contests all over. QUEEVA started to earn a name for herself at a very early age when she landed national TV spots, including an acting role in an episode of Chicago Fire, a role in a Build-a-Bear commercial, among others. By age seven, she caught the attention of Jamie O’Neal and under O’Neal’s guidance, QUEEVA found her unique, fresh style as a songwriter and artist, which is reflected in her songs.
