Prime + Proper to Bring Elevated Steakhouse Experience to Nashville
A new upscale steakhouse is headed to Nashville Yards, promising a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Prime + Proper, a Detroit-based concept known for its meticulous attention to detail and elevated approach to the classic steakhouse, will open in early 2026 at 1000 Broadway, the former home of Bar Continental.

The 7,200-square-foot restaurant will feature seating for 185 guests, a private dining room for 20, and 14 bar seats. Guests can expect a striking interior with tiered booths overlooking an open wood-fire kitchen and a stunning centerpiece bar anchored by a reeded glass chandelier.
General Manager Alissa Longtin shared that Prime + Proper “pushes the status quo in every decision and every dish,” emphasizing quality sourcing, craftsmanship, and design. The restaurant will also showcase the state’s largest dry-aging room, underscoring its dedication to steak perfection.
Part of the Heirloom Hospitality portfolio, Prime + Proper will open for dinner daily and employ around 70 team members. For steak enthusiasts seeking something extra, the upcoming Knife Society membership will offer exclusive perks including custom knives, curated events, and priority reservations.
