Oakland Middle School in Nashville, Tennessee, boasts a rich history of exceptional middle school band, choir, and musical theater performances, earning accolades across the state and in international competitions. Despite the talent and dedication of our students and staff, our stage lighting has not kept pace with contemporary theater standards. This project aims to remedy that by upgrading our lighting system to enhance the artistic experience for both performers and audiences.
Funding Requirements
To achieve our goal, we have worked with professional lighting designers to develop a comprehensive budget coveingr the cost of state-of-the-art lighting equipment and installation, as well as a 10-year maintenance fund to remove the burden of maintenance from the School Budget.
Why Support This Project?
- Enhance Education and Performance Quality: Modern lighting will significantly improve the quality of our performances, providing a more professional and immersive experience.
- Inspire and Motivate Students: Access to cutting-edge technology will inspire students, boost their confidence, and encourage them to pursue their passions in the arts.
- Community Impact: Supporting this project demonstrates a commitment to the arts and education, fostering community pride and engagement.
Project Goals
We are committed to providing our young performers with a professional-grade lighting system that meets and exceeds current theater standards. This upgrade will not only improve the quality of our performances but also give students a taste of the enhanced visual effects that modern lighting can offer, inspiring them to dream bigger and perform with confidence.
