New Rivergate Mall Redevelopment Revealed | First Look at the $450 Million Transformation
The future of Rivergate Mall is starting to come into focus. New renderings have been released showing the massive $450 million redevelopment that will transform the former mall into a modern, walkable mixed-use destination.
The project will feature more than 120,000 square feet of retail and commercial space while keeping the existing Guitar Center. Plans also include restaurants, shops, medical offices, service businesses, 710 apartments, 80 senior living units, 127 townhomes, a 120-room hotel, and 20,000 square feet of office space.
The 57-acre property was purchased for $33 million, demolition is already underway, and construction will take place in phases through the early 2030s. Once complete, the development is expected to generate approximately $4.6 million annually in county tax revenue.
