“I came up with the title [of my single] the night before the write, inspired by a line from my favorite movie Gidget Goes Hawaiin,” LJ shared on the inspiration behind her single, “In the movie there is a line where Gidget says, ‘Ok then, suit yourself.’ It grabbed my attention. My mind immediately went into songwriter mode and I thought of how we could make this into a song…Maile Misajon and Jason Gantt, the songwriters I wrote this with, really helped me bring this song to life in a way that gives it all the feels,” she explains.
You can check out LJ in Nashville at writers’ rounds and live shows, including at her favorite venue, The Analogue. “Getting to perform anywhere in Nashville is always an honor,” LJ shares of her love for playing in Music City, “One of my favorite places to play shows is Analog at the Hutton Hotel.
