Fort Negley Park Guided Walking Tour

A half-mile guided walking tour of Fort Negley Park, covering the site's run from a tree-topped hill outside early 19th-century Nashville, to a Union fortress, to restoration, neglect, and its recent addition to UNESCO sites of memory. Free, and an easy walk for families with school-age kids. RSVP through the park. Note that the park is in Master Plan Phase 1 construction: the half-mile trail and the visitors center are open, access to the fort structure at the top of the hill is closed, and parking is very limited, so carpool if you can. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
