Boro BBQ Fest

May 2 @ 10:00 am 5:00 pm

Spring in Middle Tennessee is marked by the aroma of hickory smoke and the sounds of live music as the Boro BBQ Festival returns for its 14th year. The Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club is proud to host this premier community celebration on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Hop Springs Beer Park.

Admission is free to the public, with festivities and food service kicking off at 10:00 a.m. This year’s event is headlined by the Dr. George Smith KCBS BBQ Brawl, Rutherford County’s only KCBS-sanctioned competition. Professional and backyard pitmasters from across the Southeast will compete for a $6,200 total purse, smoking chicken and ribs to perfection.

While national judges decide the pros, the public takes the reins in the People’s Choice Competition. For $15, attendees can sample 12 ounces of pulled pork from various competitors and vote for their favorite. Beyond the grill, the day features a full lineup of live music throughout the afternoon, alongside a dozen food trucks, 100+ craft vendors, and a family fun zone featuring bounce houses and barnyard animals.

As the Rotary Club’s primary fundraiser, all proceeds support Rutherford County non-profits. Join us for a day of world-class BBQ and community impact.
