Country music hitmaker Aaron Tippin will appear on this weekend’s edition of CMT “Hot 20 Countdown.” Tippin joins the national television show to talk about the impact of 90’s country music and how it has influenced today’s music scene.
“It’s so cool to see so many of the young guys and gals out there honoring the music of the 90’s,” says Tippin. “They’re doing a lot of our big hit songs in their shows, and the crowds seem to love it. Over the past few years, I’ve been busier on the road than I have been in years. I think a resurgence is happening. Something’s in the water!”
Tippin appears on the program this Saturday, March 17 at 9:00 AM/ET and Sunday, March 18 at 9:00 AM/ET.
This past Tuesday, Tippin joined “Get To You” singer Michael Ray in Nashville for a special collaborative performance at the 2nd Annual “90’s Night” benefit concert.
Ray, one of the night’s featured talents, welcomed surprise guest Tippin to the stage where the two performed the country legend’s #1 hit song, “Kiss This,” before a SOLD-OUT crowd.
The “90’s Night” concert, benefiting the T.J. Martell Foundation, was co-hosted by Buzz Brainard, Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase (Crook & Chase), and was held at Marathon Music Works in downtown Nashville. In addition to Ray and Tippin, the lineup featured collaborative performances by Adam Sanders w/ Tracy Lawrence, Chris Lane w/ John Michael Montgomery, Tyler Farr w/ BlackHawk, LOCASH w/ Joe Diffie and Tim Rushlow, and Cole Swindell w/ Diamond Rio.
