The Country Network to host the world broadcast premier of Cherie Oakley’s “Work It” music video

The Country Network, a lifestyle and music video network available in over 40 million homes, will premiere the music video for Cherie Oakley’s latest single Work It on Wednesday March 13 at 1:14 PM in each market. The video, filmed on location in Nashville, was produced by Patrick Tohill whose work includes commercial releases for Lucie Silvas and Sean McConnell

“I wanted to write a female empowerment song that was fun, up-tempo and celebratory of women,” says Cherie. “I was inspired to write it when I saw how women weren’t getting as much airplay at radio, on award shows or even as background singers. One morning, it hit me like a ton of bricks when I realized that I have more power than I thought, and could actually help change things. Being an artist gives me the greatest opportunity as I am the one that gets to create the music, the words, the statements and I get to sing about it. Suddenly, I felt empowered and inspired, and we wrote Work It. I think Patrick captured all the fun elements I wanted in the video as well as highlighting so many things the modern woman does on a day to day basis. She works her tail off!”

Work It, penned by Cherie, Mark Oakley & David Fanning, came to life in the recording studio under the wings of legendary trailblazer Dann Huff. The Huff family influence also transferred to the video set when Dann’s daughter Ashlyne choreographed the dance scenes.

Cherie’s Work It video will air at the following times, in each viewer’s time zone, on the network this week. Roku and the online broadcast, which is available by clicking here, are streaming in Eastern Time:
