New Self-Pour Wine Bar ‘Vagabond’ Opening in Nashville’s Gulch This October

A brand-new wine experience is coming to Nashville, and it's unlike anything else in the city.

Vagabond, a self-pour wine bar created by Vanderbilt alum Stephen Finch, is set to open this October in The Gulch at 1000 Division Street.

If the name sounds familiar, Finch originally founded Vagabond in London back in 2010, where it eventually grew to 14 locations before he exited the company. Now he's bringing a completely new version of the concept to Nashville because he believes the city is ready for it.

The new Vagabond will feature 100 self-pour wines using contactless technology, a self-pour beer wall focused on local and regional breweries, plus a full-service bar serving Tennessee whiskey.

The idea is to make wine approachable and fun. Guests can sample different wines at their own pace while enjoying an interactive atmosphere designed more like a living room than a traditional restaurant.

The menu will feature shareable dishes inspired by wine regions around the world, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

Vagabond will also include private dining space, a mezzanine level, and is expected to hire about 20 employees, who will receive professional wine education through the company's own training program.

The new wine bar is expected to open this October in The Gulch.
