40-Story Towers Proposed for Nashville’s East Bank Scrapyard Redevelopment
Metro Planning has released a new map outlining the future of the East Bank Scrapyard redevelopment, now being rebranded as Eastbend. The proposal allows for towers up to 40 stories tall on the 47-acre site, marking a major step forward in the long-anticipated transformation of this area.
𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧:
- The proposed rezoning and creation of a new Eastbend subdistrict
- How the site could be split into 22 parcels
- Building height limits, including shorter towers near the river
- Plans for a walkable, urban design with streets, alleys, and pedestrian paths
- Public waterfront access and privately owned public spaces with river views
This project is part of the larger East Bank transformation, alongside the new Nissan Stadium, Oracle’s $4.5 billion River North campus, and future development that will continue reshaping Nashville’s skyline.
No official renderings have been released yet, but this is a big first step toward one of the most significant redevelopments in the city.
